Katabatic Collection

The Katabatic relaunched the fast and light hiking footwear category for Oboz. The collection features welded TPU overlays, synthetic uppers, and the most responsive midsole foam for the brand to-date. My role for this style included upper, tooling, and material design.

The Katabatic was forecast for 30,000 pairs in the first year. Actual sell-in topped 80,000 pairs, eventually making fast hike the second largest category for Oboz. The collection consists of men’s and women’s Mid and Low and Mid BDry and Low BDry.
