Oboz Rosewood Collection

The Rosewood is a women’s only upper on the Cottonwood tooling package. The material mix and pattern overlays provide visual interest and offer alternative color blocks for a more breathable spring and summer friendly collection. My role for this project included upper, material and color design.

The upper textiles are inspired by the American southwest and the sun’s effects on the natural environment. A guiding concept behind the collection is solar fade, which is “also referred to as sun fade, sun outage or solar outage, a signal degradation phenomenon that affects the transmission of radio signals in satellite communications.” “Solar Fade” became the guiding principle behind the color direction and idea of pleasant disconnection from the technological world that one experiences in the outdoors.
